Your information stays yours.

When you use AuroLegal, we collect:

• Information you give us during intake — details about your citation, such as the violation, the state, the court, and the relevant dates; any photos of your ticket you choose to upload; and the messages you exchange with Auro.
• Account information — your name and email address, so you can return to your case.
• Information Auro generates for you — your action plan, contesting letter, and checklist are saved to your account.
• Basic technical information — standard server logs, and, if you submit a report through the in-app "Report Issue" feature, the diagnostic details you choose to send.

We use the information you provide to:

• Identify your violation and the rules of your state and court, and generate your action plan, contesting letter, and checklist;
• Operate, maintain, and improve the service;
• Communicate with you about your case, such as upcoming deadlines.

We do not use your information to make decisions about you beyond producing the legal information you asked for.

Auro generates its guidance with the help of third-party AI providers, including Anthropic and OpenAI. To produce your answers, the information you share with Auro is sent to these providers' commercial APIs for processing.

Under these providers' commercial API terms, data sent to their APIs is not used to train their AI models. AuroLegal does not train or fine-tune its own AI models on your data.

Your information is encrypted in transit and at rest. Our databases and stored files are hosted on Amazon Web Services and encrypted using managed encryption keys.

Access to your information is limited to what is needed to operate the service.

We keep your case data for as long as your account is active. You can delete any case at any time from your case list. If you would like us to delete all of your information, contact us at privacy@aurolegal.ai and we will take care of it.

AuroLegal is intended for adults addressing their own citations. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make a material change, we will revise the effective date shown at the top of this page.
